Still, he wasn't sure he could convince his wife it was a good idea to go from college dean to carpet cleaner. Was this business worth the risk? Lindsay was also tired of 60-hour workweeks. Making it worse, as a car salesman, he worked almost every Saturday. Now that he owns Thousand Island Chem-Dry, which serves Jefferson and Lewis counties in New York, he controls his own schedule and has spent time on Saturdays boating with his 13-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter. He's looking forward to ice fishing with them, too.
